Medium Salisbury Black Lantern With Lamp Post

Lantern - Based on the 1950’s swan neck lamp, with a modern retro feel, this lantern has been produced in copper, black powder coated . It has been given it’s name because of the added acrylic ring which acts as a light diffuser and gives a circle of light through its edge. This lantern can only take an energy saving bulb (supplied on this model only), promoting our support to environmental concerns.

The swan neck lamp was introduced in the 1950’s as a modern and more efficient light, taking over from the traditional gas lamp. To make it more effective the lanterns were fitted with Sodium, which is a brighter street lighting that burns more economically and lasts much longer.

Lamp Post - Cast iron construction with a industrial steel 60mm centre tube, which gives the added advantage of us cutting and making the lamppost to your height specification if required. This also has the bonus of being able to flex in high winds like modern day commercial lighting. To make it easy to install, the base of the post has a square plate cast into it so you can bolt it directly to the ground (bolts not included). This lamp is primed and then powder coated black to give a strong durable finish.
